Core Immediate – Adult Resuscitation

People trained to this level will have a practical working knowledge of Automated External Defibrillation (AED) as well as practical skills including airway control using an appropriate airway device and the use of adrenaline for anaphylaxis for Adults.

This will be taught using skill modules, practical scenarios, and includes medical emergencies.

Course Content

This will be taught using skill modules, practical scenarios, and includes medical emergencies.

Use of suction and insertion of oropharyngeal airways
Supraglottic airway device (eg. LMA) insertion during CPR
Management of adult anaphylaxis
Adult case simulations

And Includes

The DRSABCD algorithm
How to assess a collapsed persons condition
How to manage a collapsed persons condition
When and how to attach an AED
How to manage a foreign body airway obstruction
How to manage first aid for life threatening bleeding
How to provide first aid management for a person in shock

Qualification: This is a 4 Hour contact time course with 4 CPD.
