Start your journey into pre-hospital care. This course provides individuals with emergency care first responder skills to sustain life until handover to advanced medical care can occur.
This qualification is suitable for individuals who wish to build on the skills attained in first aid certificates and/or gain further skills and credentials in emergency care first response.
Graduates will be capable of carrying out emergency care first responder roles with designated areas of responsibility and under broad guidance of an organisation.
Course Content
This advanced course develops skills in ECG interpretation, manual defibrillation, pacing, and IV adrenaline administration. It is designed for health-trained responders who may need to lead resuscitation with limited immediate backup. Suitable for GPs, critical care nurses, Intermediate and ALS Paramedics, experienced on-site medics, and remote medics.
Pre-Requisites: 6400/6401/6402 First Aid Certificate
