Course Overview
People credited with these unit standards are able to: Identify and describe legislative rights and responsibilities for workplace health and safety; Describe the systems approach to workplace health and safety. Explain how risks and hazards are defined in the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015. Describe the principles of health and safety risk assessment. Apply health and safety risk assessment to a job role in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry good practice. Identify the principles of workplace safety in a given workplace. Demonstrate safe work practices in a specific workplace. Prepare a work method statement; undertake a job safety analysis; and develop safe operating procedures.
This course can be delivered with a mix of the above unit standards as required by the client.
