Course Overview

These unit standards are aimed at people who are required to understand and carry out the process of ORAL drug screening in the workplace. People credited with these unit standards are able to: describe quality control and quality assurance requirements for on-sit oral fluid integrity checks and drug screening in the workplace.  Perform on-site quality control procedures, oral fluid integrity checks and drug screening, and document results and interpret and explain on-site oral fluid quality control tests, integrity checks and drug screen results and possible actions. They will be able to prepare donor for oral fluid specimen collection in the workplace and collect and dispatch donor’s oral fluid specimen(s) to the laboratory for drug testing.

Competence Achieved

Successful trainees receive:

  • Unit standard 32327 Perform oral fluid specimen collection in the workplace for drug testinge
  • Unit standard 32328 Perform oral fluid drug screening in the workplace
